The Accent are hard to see

After a few failed attempts to enlarge them, i'll give up and inform the rest of you.

Sound clips/IPA

Could we maybe have a native speaker record pronunciation guides for the common phrases on this page? Learning the way letters sound together is a crucial skill, particularly in French when it's not phonetic. Also, would anyone mind if I wrote the IPA transcriptions after the pronunciation guides? It's a lot more accurate for people who can read it, and I don't think it would hinder someone who doesn't at all. Eleraama 22:03, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

Speaking of which, there's conflicting inforamation between this page and the Wikibook - and yet anohter conflict on Wikipedia. For example, the letter h is pronounced as "ash" on Wikibooks:French/Lessons/Alphabet, and as "hache" on Wikipedia:French_alphabet. bad ogg file?

It looks like French_Vocabulary_-_Greetings.ogg is bogus. I'm pretty sure of this, because VLC media player says it doesn't recognize it but it happily plays the others. Also, looking at it in a text editor, it appears to be a Word doc containing (at least) what appears to be an qualification letter from a schoolgirl in Nigeria. (Is anyone else hearing alarm bells?) I don't have the means to create a good replacement, but I can (and will) hack the referring pages to not refer to it anymore.
