Talk:Introductory Ancient Greek Language/Lesson 5

This lesson strikes me as inadequate, but I don't have time to rewrite it. Here are notes for a future revision:

1. I think a clear distinction between theme vowels and endings should be made, even as early as this stage.
2. The verb to demonstrate paradigms with should not be luw, but one such as paideuw/bouleuw (i.e. ending with a diphthong, to avoid the issue of contractions and lengthening before aorist and future sigmas). Then when teaching the aorist, switch to verbs such as philew/nikaw, which demonstrate both contractions and lengthening.
3. The comment saying eimi is understood implicitly before any verb such as luw is incorrect. We may say that the personal pronoun (egw, sy, etc.) is understood before a verb without an explicit subject, but not the verb eimi.
