This page is about Application Software. Why is the first heading "Intellectual Property"? I suggest moving this to a separate section dealing with this issue (along with some of the other points below).
Terminology edit
Free Software edit
It is important to define free software correctly. See The Free Software Definition - especially if this course/module is to be used by the billions of people likely to encounter technology for the first time in the next coming years.
Rename the Section on IP edit
Avoid the term. See Did You Say “Intellectual Property”? It's a Seductive Mirage. What is written concerns copyright.
The second link (to "better video" is broken).
Other terms edit
- Refer to "GNU/Linux", rather than "Linux" to acknowledge the contribution of the free software community and the GNU project.
- "Piracy" etc. - see Some Confusing or Loaded Words and Phrases to Avoid (or use with care)
