Would this count as a "game"?

If it has gotten to the multiuser state it might. If it has multiple players game theory starts to apply in that there is investment, costs, profits, strategies, etc. I certainly plan to put some economic modeling and sim or game constraints in my cisLunarFreighter mud so please do not delete it. I am interested in what resource it would take to launch the space frontier with a tide raising all boats. It would obviously take great political will to fix some problems around the world and reinvest the benefits accruing but I think we are at a cusp with the online internet open source approach just beginning to be realized in term of economic growth potential. The production costs for tools and labor the cisLunarFreight project I am undertaking are amazing low compared to a similar undertaking my company financed about six years ago. With low capital startup and huge growth in associated markets ... anything is possible. Maybe an open source game project will finance the first moon colony via free engineering techniques pioneered in part right here at Wikiversity. Later. Mirwin 04:46, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- sure, what the hay. Eventually you might want it to port over into the Computer Games Development school, but I'm pretty open minded.--Dnjkirk 13:38, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Well, if we had a computer game development school. Hmmm... --Rayc 00:24, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- First things first. I am working on a first course. [1] Practical game development is pretty cross disciplinary. Mirwin 00:39, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Good stuff, thanks. If you're interested in fleshing out the computer side of things, the School:Computer_Simulation_and_Game_Design also exists. And you're right, game development itself is quite cross-disciplinary... so if you want to get int going here, I'm very thankful for your cooperation!--Dnjkirk 01:50, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
