Talk:Evidence-based assessment/Validity
I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better to use the term "criterion validity" (or maybe concurrent validity), instead of "discriminative validity", since the latter term can be easily confounded as "discriminant validity", which has not the same meaning. While discriminative validity means the power of the test to correctly sort individuals to classes for which they belong, discriminant validity is the "degree of unrelatedness" of the test with tests that it isn't theoretically supposed to relate with (see the APA Thesaurus for discriminative versus discriminant validity). This point is further illustrated by the fact that the term "discriminative validity" in this page has been linked to the wiki on discriminant (not discriminative) validity. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ManaraKM (talk • contribs) 19 April 2022 (UTC)
