- The name "Car Electronics" was considered.
- However the term hacker is evolving away from criminal activity .. see hackerspaces.
- The original term Hack now has the connotation of DIY "customization" that involves a lot more engineering, discovery and personal involvement with modifications done.
- An "Electric car" project could be confused with a name "Car electronics" by someone. Car Hack clearly differentiates the two.
