Talk:Emily Dickinson's poems in translation/Polish/I died for Beauty—but was scarce

I translate the word "name" as "imię" according to Doroszewski, whose dictionary does not exclude second or family names from the word sense. The word „nazwanie” might mean a nickname as well, and language pragmatics happens not to require the phrase “name, first and second“. For example, a parliamentary journal anyway would not bring „Johnny”, „Tom”, „Annie”, or „Eve”, for an open vote. The language use is not synonymous with anonymity.

I have updated my translation to the print form; cannot find the author of the interpretation to inform him or her, and they might want to change the commentary: would be grateful for advice. --TeresaPelka (discusscontribs) 01:51, 29 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
