The name suggests some kind of mathematical or comp.sci. topic to me, which evidently is not. I would categorize it myself but, heck, I don't know properly where. --Jorge 00:28, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- It's a "Life Sciences" general topic, and a "Bioinformatics" subject to be more precise, does this help ? XApple 11:58, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- Oh yes, although I know from my education in comp. sci. that bioinformatics spans more than DNA-related computations. What can this be called, inside bioinformatics, DNA sequencing perhaps? --Jorge 00:47, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- No, that would be more of a chemical process. This would reside inside the field of sequence alignment techniques. XApple 20:42, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
