Talk:Divergence theorem/Proof

Latest comment: 3 years ago by Guy vandegrift in topic Monthly views before moving

I was thinking we should change the name of this page to Divergence theorem in order to create a sister link to w:Divergence theorem. The Wikipedia (WP) article isn't bad, but is rated at quality C. I think the next step for both wikis is to keep the WP article as an encyclopedic article and move the educational stuff to supbpages in WV mainspace. The WV mainspace articles should contain only that information a typical reader is mostly likely to need. I won't make the move until we have at least two quality lessons on this topic, with both lessons being situated as subpages.

Monthly views before moving edit

This derivation averaged 41 page views per month after its creation almost two years ago. See: https://pageviews.toolforge.org/?project=en.wikiversity.org&platform=all-access&agent=user&redirects=0&start=2018-09&end=2021-02&pages=Divergence_(Gauss-Ostrogradsky)_theorem

In contrast Wikipedia:Divergence theorem averages over 26,000 views per month.

I plan to move Divergence (Gauss-Ostrogradsky) theorem to Divergence theorem/Proof soon. --Guy vandegrift (discusscontribs) 19:10, 17 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
