Talk:Astronomy college course/Why planets lose their atmospheres/Quiz/Original version of this quiz

@Guy vandegrift: Quick bug report: questions five and six have two logically mutually exclusive answers, and ask the reader to identify a single false statement, implying that the answer must be one of the two. Separately, question 7 gives answer 6. HLHJ (discusscontribs) 01:36, 2 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

These are interesting weaknesses in the quiz design. It has been said that a logical mind is more useful than being informed on multiple choice questions.[citation needed]!--Guy vandegrift (discusscontribs) 01:54, 2 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Another comment: I stopped using these quizzes in my Astronomy course. The class is small in size so we do projects. And, I think the best way to build a Quizbank is to have questions based on a short passage of prose. This will test reading comprehension, not memory. See Quizbank/Creating_a_bank_so_students_won't_''break_the_bank''#Promoting_scientific_literacy_with_"cluster_questions"
