Systemic Practice in Family Therapy: Concepts and Issues
This subject is a post graduate and professional level of study, aimed at broaden and deepening your knowledge of family therapy and relevant related theoretical concepts, in order to improve your assessment and skills, and then subsequently your planning for intervention. We will look at the neurophysiology of human development and stress, attachment theory, transgenerational concepts, safety and risk issues, diversity issues and ethics. The subject is divided into 3 modules, with each module containing an assignment. You can take the modules separately, but ideally they should be done in the order in which they are presented here, as each builds upon the previous one. All of the modules can be studied on-line with a mixture of prerecorded lectures, on-line forums and/or webinars, provided readings, and case studies, available to aid your completion of the assignments.
