Example from Ivory Coast: For a business start-up in my village in Cote d’Ivoire we collected €45.000 with crowdfunding amongst diaspora from that same area. We made a nice video for diaspora from our region; we spread it on social media and called people to make a donation of €20, €50 or €100 and ask for small fees which together could supply with start-up money! Diaspora feels: 'let’s give it a try and build on change’.
