Scientific Method for Wikimedians/Scientific Facts - Practical part

This session is the Practical part of chapter two as a reminder chapter 2 is titled the scientific facts it is located in part one which is titled knowledge and the scientific method it is the first part of this course

before we start let me do this first reminder first you need to finish the theoretical part of chapter 2 before you can go further in this video so if you have not finished the video of chapter 2 please stop this video here and go to end it second and as in the questions of chapter 2 these are open questions there are no unified answers however the questions are clear and well specified so don't get afraid you will not get lost third the total estimated time for the Practical part is one hour it includes three questions 20 minutes for each you might finish it in 50 minutes or in 17 minutes this is no problem but if you finish it in less than 50 minutes or if you needed more than 70 minutes this is a bad sign and you need to go and investigate why fourth the questions are search based they are designed to make you look Beyond and to force you to keep your comfort zone so please prepare yourself to do some research

let's get started question one in chapter 2 we have mentioned propaganda and Dogma several times in fact propaganda is a special type of facts thus it is a knowledge but it is corrupted intentionally on the other hand Dogma is a way used to create propaganda the two terms are essential to handle the Overflow of information in our time in question one you need to first search of the meaning of the two words in the three dictionaries used in this course second search for the etymology of the two words third search for the specific definition of the words in a specific domain dictionary a great choice will be policy philosophy or social science dictionaries fourth compare what you have find with the scientific facts as they are shown in chapter 2. this is a 20-minute question please set up a timer for 20 minutes stop this video here and start your own research

question two in chapter 2 we have presented the two concept Theory and Theorem in common sense they might be used mutually to refer to the same idea but from scientific perspective this is not valid in question two you need to do the following search the three dictionaries used in this course to find the common sense of the two words second search for the etymology of the two words third compare the results you have got from what you have found in chapter 2. again this is a 20 minute question so please set up a timer for 20 minutes stop the video here and start doing your own research
