Collaboration with school of medicine

edit

I was wondering if you would like to begin collaboration with the school of medicine on projects and pages that apply to both of our disciplines. For example, a "head and neck anatomy" project or an "anaphylaxis" page. Go raibh mile maith agaibh 23:37, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sure, no problem. There is lots of anatomy in dentistry.Sabine 19:28, 21 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Great. I am designing modules now for the early levels of medicine. Anaphylaxis is probably a medical responsibility and I'll take care of it in due course. I definitely want to plan with you some pages for head and neck anatomy, but I'm not sure if the School of Dentistry wants as much involvement in other aspects of anatomy. There are a few pages already written in this topic (e.g. Anatomical Terminology) but very few. So I'm afraid that we'll more or less be starting from scratch. I think we should develop a plan of action for the development of the anatomy project. What do you think? Go raibh mile maith agaibh 20:06, 21 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Uh sounds like lots of work :) Just the teeth-part is big. But the best way to do it would prob be to do the different structures one at the time (eg nerves, bone...)Sabine 09:00, 22 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
It will be a lot of work but I am happy to do the donkey work if you want to get on with anything else in your project. I agree with you on the break up. The main problem we'll have is getting free pictures. There will be a few on wikipedia, but i doubt we'll cover them all. I take it you have dental training. Was that with medical students? I have designed a first module which may be of interest to your school. Back to anatomy, I plan to have it as a module, rather than editing the department of anatomy. In the medicine module of anatomy, students will be taught embryology, histology and gross anatomy. Will you be looking to teach it in these three divisions as well? Let me know which of these, if not all, you will be teaching because I think the next two steps are dividing the three divisions into lessons and then making lesson plans. Once that is done, I think we can start adding content. What do you think? Go raibh mile maith agaibh 14:50, 22 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Interactive learning resources...

I think the best way forward is to make more interactive stuff like quizzes etc. Lesion (discusscontribs) 17:47, 7 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
