SNMP Service/Install
The SNMP Service is a Windows service that provides a Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) agent that can be used to monitor and manage Windows workstations and servers. These activities will show you how to install the SNMP Service.
Preparation edit
To prepare for this activity:
- Start Windows.
- Log in if necessary.
Activity 1 - Install the SNMP Service edit
To install the SNMP Service:
- Open the Start menu.
- Select Control Panel.
- Select Programs.
- Select Turn Windows features on or off.
- Select the check box for Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
- Select OK to complete this activity.
