Reinforcer Assessment Ages 5 and underEdit
Look at the list below. Not all students will like items on the list. You must be a reinforcer detective. Some reinforcers are obscure such as vacuum cleaning or playing with an old answering machine.
Using parents, siblings, teachers, or aides, check the list of items/activities the child likes or seems to find fun or reinforcing. Items may not be played with or used appropriately but the student might simply be attracted to them. Before starting any behavioral program, ensure you have at least a few reinforcers.
