WikiVantage edit

I think Wiki-folk have a huge advantage over systems built from scratch, especially if they're built to those accussed IEEE specs. The biggist thing (most central, anyway) in the Booch-Rambaugh-Jacobsen schOOl of meta-Meta bo-META-META is the CLASSIFIER which sits at the core of the UML backbone (...or is it at the Backbone of the core? i fergit...).

That's half of the battle! Another third of the battle is won with Templates (in skillful hands of course). In my OOPinion, The Wikiverse is a great environment for Learning Objects! -O^O- CQ 18:53, 22 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Databases - about interoperability and efficience edit

In en.wikipedia, there are strong guidelines against it (Vanity guidelines). I am not sure what are the Wikiversity's policies about it, so let me know if my contribution [1] violates any of them. w:Rjgodoy 20:26, 18 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wikiversity, like "brick and morter" universities, includes research and development activities. If you have a paper online that is relevant, citing it here is not considered "vanity". See Wikiversity:Original research. -- CQ 14:42, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

m:Learning_object_metadata edit

What is m:Learning_object_metadata for? Should we move it to wikiversity? (there is a {{wikiversity}} template there). w:Rjgodoy 13:49, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hmmm. I'm not sure, yet, Rjgodoy. The reason for it being there as a blank page template is for use in developing a future implementation of LOM in mediaWiki, which may or may not come about. The comments on the talk page there are useful. If we do move it here, we should import it in the proper way. I'm thinking if we use it, for this project, we would use it like Category:Page creation templates. -- CQ 14:32, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ideas would also be welcome at Wikiversity:Metadata. Cheers, Cormaggio talk 14:42, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
