Open Universe Initiative
Open Universe Initiative is a member state activity proposed in the framework United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA). The learning resource is based on the presentation of Ulisses Barres de Almeida Brazilian Center for Research in Physics at the High Level Forum in Bonn 2018. The slogan "Leave no one behind" especially development countries with not national space assest has serval implications the learning resource deals with:
- Space technology and data aggregated with space technology is relevant in many fields: scientific knowledge, innovation and technology, applications to modern global challenges such as climate change and disaster management, etc.[1]
- Open Universe Initiative is based on the requirements and regards access to space and space based data as basic foundation to create benefits of space exploration and space technology for development — direct and indirect implications to the welfare of society and economic growth as well as international cooperation and integration, and ultimately peace[1].
