Open Pathology Project/Bronchoalveolar carcinoma

Bronchio-alveolar carcinoma (modern name: In situ pulmonary adenocarcinoma) is a carcinoma arising from the distal bronchioles or alveoli.

Lepidic pattern of growth of tumor cells along the alveolar wall resembling butterfly sitting on fence. Normal alveoli is seen towards right side.
