Moss garden activity

Create your own miniature moss garden! This fun activity will get kids outside

Newly made moss garden with rodent skull and snail shells.

Materials

• 

  Potting compost

• 

  Trowel

• 

  Shallow plastic container

• 

  Outdoor area with moss

Directions

1. Put a thin layer of potting compost in a shallow tray (no holes in the tray).
2. Go moss hunting! And rocks, and snail shells, and bark.
3. Spray the moss with water in a spray bottle once a day (rain water is best but tap will do).
4. Watch your moss grow!
