- Review Microsoft: Create a document.
- Select the File tab.
- Select New.
- Select Blank document.
- Creating new documents using templates:
- Review Microsoft: Create a document.
- Select the File tab.
- Select New.
- Select one of the available templates or search for online templates.
- Select the template you want.
- Importing files:
- Review Microsoft: How to recover text from any files by using the "Recover Text from Any File" converter of Word
- ## Select the File tab.
- Select Open.
- Select the location of the file to import and Browse.
- Change the file type to Recover Text from Any File (*.*)
- Select a file and Open.
- Opening non-native files directly in Word:

- Select the File tab.
- Select Open.
- Select the location of the non-native file and Browse.
- Change the file type to All Files (*.*)
- Select a non-native file and Open.
- Opening a PDF in Word for editing:

- Select the File tab.
- Select Open.
- Select the location of the PDF file and Browse.
- Change the file type to PDF Files (pdf.*)
