Metal and non metal

There are many metal and non metal thing that we use in our everyday life. Metals and non metal things interact differently due to increase and decrease of heat. Metal is shiny and transfers electricity but non metal is usually not shiny and does not transfer electricity. Gas is non metal and does not transfer electricity. Different type of metal and non metal melts down at different temperature. If you hit an Iron plate and Carbon plate with another piece of Iron different things will happen. Iron plate will not break and a sound of collision between the two plates will be heard. On the other hand Carbon will not make sound but it will be broken.
