Major Depressive Disorder edit

Inflammation-related depression edit

Studies shows for an elevated cytokines in depressed patients: IL-1β, IL-6, sIL-2R (soluble IL-2 receptors) and TNF-α [7] and those cytokines may reduce monoamine levels.[8]

Konsman present an important critical review paper on the subject.[9]
