Lunar Boom Town/Nitrogen Commodity Imports and Futures

Nitrogen provides a significant amount of the Earth's atmosphere, and without it, all life on Earth would perish, since both plants and animals use and expel nitrogen during natural biological functioning. If there are humans on Earth's moon, there will also be nitrogen there. Moon rocks also contain some Nitrogen, but it would require energy to process it. Any nitrogen found on the moon is expected to be closer to the surface.[1] Fortunately, the moon has less atmosphere than Earth, so solar harvesters could concentrate and provide this energy. When illuminated by the sun, the surface of the moon can reach up to 127 degrees Celsius (260 Fahrenheit). [2]
