Institute of Railway Research and Development

Institute of Railway Research and Development, IRRD, has been established through close cooperation of some of the major players in the Iranian railway industry such as:

• Islamic Republic of Iran Railway
• School of Railway Engineering, Iran University of Science and Technology
• The presidential office for Transfer of Technology
• Institute of Railway Engineering
• Iranian Railway Saving Institute

The IRRD mission is to provide an engineering support to the fast expanding railway industry in the country, through effective collaboration of the institute with the local and foreign railway research and consultancy companies and organizations.
