TOG'ULA. Diminutive of TOGA; the diminutive sometimes denoting fineness of texture, and consequently increased value, as in Cicero (Att. i. 18.), where it is applied to the toga picta; at others, inferiority of size or material, as in Cic. Pis. 23. Mart. ix. 101., and consequently conveying a sentiment of depreciation.
