QUADRIGA'TUS. A silver denarius, so termed from its having the impress of a quadriga stamped on the reverse, as shown by the annexed specimen (Quadrigatus/1.1) from an original of the same size. Plin. H. N. xxxiii. 13. Liv. xxii. 58.
