QUADRIGA'RIUS. A charioteer who drove a team of four horses abreast; more especially applied to one who drove a four-horsed car (quadriga) at the races of the circus; as represented by the annexed cut (Quadrigarius/1.1) from the device on a terra-cotta lamp.
