FULLO'NIUS or FULLO'NICUS. Applied to any of the implements or articles used by fullers; as pila or creta fullonica (Cato R. R. x. 5. Plin. H. N. xvii. 4.), fuller's earth; saltus fullonius (Seneca Ep. 15.), the jumping and stamping which fullers practise in scouring clothes, as represented by the last woodcut, and explained by the text which accompanies it.
