editCO'HUM. The rope or thong by which the yoke (jugum) is fastened to the pole (temo) of a plough. (Festus, s. v.) It is very distinctly seen in the annexed example (Cohum/1.1), from a bas-relief discovered in the island of Magnensia.{TR: Correct is probably "Magnesia".}
