ANACLINTE'RIUM (ἀνακλιντήριον). The head-board of a sofa or sleeping couch, upon which the squab and pillow for the support of the head rested. (Spart. Ael. Ver. 5.) The example (Anaclinterium/1.1) is from a bas-relief at Rome, which represents the death of Meleager.
