ALBO-GALE'RUS. The fur cap worn by the Flamen Dialis, which was made of the skin of a white victim which had been sacrificed to Jupiter, with a spike of olive wood projecting from the top, precisely as seen in the illustration (Albo-galerius/1.1) taken from a medal struck in honour of Marcus Antoninus.
