History of psychology
The history of psychology can be seen as evolving through several "forces":
- First force: Psychoanalytic
- Second force: Behaviourism
- Third force: Humanistic
- Fourth force: Transpersonal (incl. family systems, feminist psychology, multicultural psychology, ecopsychology, and social constructivism and postmodernism)
- Fifth force: Social justice and advocacy
- Sixth force: Integrative, inclusive, and holistic[1]
