What if I don't like reading online?
editThis unit is specifically designed to be paperless (except for the Final Exam). There are two reasons for this: (1) "Paperless" means less impact on the environment in accordance with the University of Canberra's strategy; and (2) Learning to screen-read is an essential skill in today's fast-paced business environment. There are still plenty of opportunities to use paper-based materials (such as library books or in other units) but this unit deliberately requires you to operate in a paperless environment.
How do I count the total number of words in my essay?
editEasy. The number of words includes the first word of the first sentence of your assignment to the last word of the last sentence of your assignment. The reference list is not included in the word count but in-text referencing does count. The easiest way to check the number of words in your assignment is to copy and paste your work into http://www.wordcounttool.com/ and click "Submit". This will give you the number of words. In this unit, the number of words is prescribed, but you have a +/-10% leeway. For example, a 2,000 word essay means your word count should be between 1,800 words and 2,200 words.
