Description Zaklodzie is an enstatite-rich ungrouped primitive achondrite that was found in Zamosk, Poland in September of 1998. The finder had been searching for fossils and rocks near a dirt road when he located the meteorite. Some speculate that it might have fallen on April 21st, 1897 when a large fireball was witnessed in an area near the find. This is a rare specimen and the TKW is only 8.68 kgs. Close examination reveals a very interesting and unusual orange matrix and a generous amount of metal flake. I encountered a lot of difficulty photographing this unique meteorite due to the glare on the polished face. This is my second attempt at a decent shot. Specimen wt is 1.08 g.
