| Description |
English: Complex PTSD is a form of PTSD caused by repeated trauma. The first row includes general signs of PTSD (avoidance, hyperarousal, nightmares or flashbacks, changed beliefs, somatic symptoms) and the bottom row includes signs that are seen specifically in complex PTSD (mood swings, low self-esteem, isolation, detachment from trauma, and preoccupation with the abuser). While people with regular PTSD will experience symptoms from the top row, people with complex PTSD will have most or all of the symptoms listed. |
