Summary

Description	English: Areas of the United States and Mexico 1783-2010. Area for the US is from u-s-history.com for 1783 and US Census bureau since (summaryzed by u-s-history.com for all but [https://www.census.gov/geo/reference/state-area.html 2010]). The area for Mexico followed the events in w:Territorial evolution of Mexico on 2017-11-15 with the exact numbers coming from different sources. The net adjustments was rougly 5 percent smaller than the difference between the areas given for Mexico in 1821 and today. Therefore, each adjustment was increased by the necessary amount to match those two numbers.
