This lesson will illustrate the different kinetic scenarios for enzyme inhibition: reversible, irreversible, competitive, non-competitive; and the different strategies for enzyme inhibition: transition state analogues, mechanism-based inhibitors. Examples of enzyme inhibitors for medicinal targets will be illustrated.
