The goal is to modify a three wheel robot toy to balance on top of a ball or turn into three unicycle robots that can move sideways.

The secret is a wheel that has spinning parts on the outside room. There are two main types:

Omni Wheel
Mecanum Wheel

The motion the robot can make is described as "holonomic". The wheels can be purchased for carpet or slick floors at Acroname Robotics
