Build cell phone apps for the local college that enable activities such as finding free food, clean bathrooms, specific rooms by number and similar applications that utilize a cell phone's GPS, mapping and camera capabilities. The University of Oregon has a similar app. The ArcGis company has support for the mapping portion of this project. It may be possible to extend Google Maps or Google Earth for this purpose. This may involve imbedding a network of Wi-Fi hotspot triangulation, Bluetooth transmitters or RFID tags to locate oneself within a building since GPS and cell phone triangulation don't work well.
