1. Multiply ones column from right to left
2. When multiplying tens, put a 0 in the ones column answer on second row
3. Multiply tens column from right to left
4. Add

Example:

- 21x12

- 21x2 = 42

- 21x1 = 21 , put 0 in the ones column ---> 210

- 42+210 = 252
