In this course we will discuss transmission and distribution systems of electrical power. At the end of this course, you should be familiar with the principles of electrical power transmission systems as applied in real life.

At the end of this course the student is expected to have understood the following:

  1. Basic principles of supply systems
  2. Mechanical & electrical design of overhead lines
  3. Performance of transmission lines

It is important that the student be at ease with the following courses since the concepts taught will be employed here:

  1. Electrical Engineering Fundamentals
  2. Electric Circuit Analysis
