Czech Language/Introduction
This course aims to explain the basics of Czech:
- Grammar
- Phonology
- And vocabulary
Phonology
editTo learn any language, one must first understand the basics of the language's phonology and, by extent, pronunciation. This section will be split into 3 parts:
- Consonants
- Vowels
- Diphthongs
Consonants
editCzech ha 25 consonants, which are further split into:
- Hard
- Soft
- Ambiguous
The fundamental difference between these is, that in spelling, the y vowel is written after the hard consonants, the i vowel is written after the soft consonants, and both of these vowels can be written after the ambiguous consonants. It is, of course more complicated than this, but for the purposes of this course, this explanation should suffice.
Work in progress.
