In the market there is different hardware-based storage device with encryption capabilities in different formats: HDD, Solid-state drives or USB Keys. Two popular USB products that can be used for encryption are Yubikey or iStorage datAshur.

datAshur PRO 2 USB devices support two mode of operation: user mode and admin mode with different privileges. Additionally features includes:

  • Self-Destruct PIN
  • Read only mode
  • One time use recovery PIN
  • Unattended Auto-Lock Clock
  • Two modes: Removable Disk (default mode) or Local Disk
  • Bootable or not bootable
