computer Networks/Ipconfig/Default
ipconfig with no options displays the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway for each adapter bound to TCP/IP. This activity will show you how to use the default ipconfig command.
Preparation edit
To prepare for this activity:
- Start Windows.
- Log in if necessary.
Activity 1 - Display IP Address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway edit
To display the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway for each adapter bound to TCP/IP:
- Open a command prompt.
- Type ipconfig (to see all options type ipconfig /all).
- Press Enter.
- Observe available adapters and their IP settings.
- Close the command prompt to complete this activity.
