Case presentation edit

A 17-year-old boy comes to your practice for a sports health screening, prior to starting volleyball competitions. The history and clinical examination are unremarkable. The patient has no risk factors for heart disease (e.g. smoking) and has never experienced chest pain, syncope, palpitations or dyspnea. There is no family history of heart disease or sudden unexplained death.

A 12-lead electrocardiogram is shown below.
