      Note that there are problems with romanising the moraic nasal (ん) before a vowel. To distinguish it from syllables in the n-row, the moraic n is written n' (with an apostrophe) in those cases. This is one of the reasons we start right away with the kana syllabry. Some examples of cases where this becomes important are:

おやゆずり の むてっぽう で こども の とき から そんばかりしている。 しょうがっこう に いる じぶん がっこう の にかい から とびおりて いっしゅうかん ほど こし を ぬかした こと が ある。 なぜ そんな むやみ を した と きく ひと が ある かもしれぬ。 べつだん ふかい りゆう でも ない。 しんちく の にかい から くび を だして いたら、 どうきゅうせい の ひとり が じょうだん に、 『いくら いばって も、 そこ から とびおりる こと は できまい。 よわむしやあい、』 と はやした から で ある。 こずかい に おぶさって かえってきた とき、 おやじ が おおきな め を して 『にかい ぐらい から とびおりて こし を ぬかす やつ が あるか、』 と いった から、 『この つぎ は ぬかさず に とんで みせます、』 と こたえた。
しんるい の もの から せいようせい の ないふ を もらって きれい な は を ひ に かざして、 ともだち に みせて いたら、 ひとり が 『ひかる こと は ひかる が、きれそう も ない、』 と いった。 『きれぬ こと が ある か、なんでも きって みせる、』 と うけあった。 『そんなら、 きみ の ゆび を きって みろ、』 と ちゅうもん した から、 『なんだ ゆび ぐらい この とおり だ、』 と みぎ の て の おやゆび の こう を はす に きりこんだ。 さいわい ないふ が ちいさい の と、おやゆび の ほね が かったかった ので、 いまだに おやゆび は て について いる。しかし きずあと は しぬ まで きえぬ。
