Basics of Thelema
Thelema is a religious, spiritual, psychological, and philosophical system that was essentially founded with the penning of Liber AL vel Legis by Aleister Crowley in 1904.
Thelema (θέλημα) is a Greek word meaning "will," which is used in the New Testament to often connote God's will. In the system of Thelema, it refers to each person's unique path in life.
Liber AL vel Legis states, "The word of the Law is Thelema... Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law... Thou hast no right but to do thy will... Love is the law, love under will... There is no law beyond Do what thou wilt." [1] Therefore, the Will is obviously central to every facet of Thelema.
