Australia-Asia debating/Teams
Every debate has two teams, which compete against each other to convince the adjudicator (the person judging the debate) that their side of the debate is correct.
- The affirmative team argues in favour of what the topic is saying. For example, in the topic 'That the number of commercial flights should be capped', the affirmative team would argue that there should be a cap on the number of commercial flights.
- The negative team argues against what the topic is saying. Using the example above, the negative team would argue that there should not be a cap on the number of commercial flights.
