Cubist collage is notable for 3 innovations:
1. The use of material made by someone else, incorporated into the picture. This foreshadows the ready-mades of Duchamp (who also painted in the cubist style) and the modifications of Asger Jorn
2. The use of textual material
and 3. the use of spacial/spatial material that is not spatially representative.
